Krysia M. Kornecki, Ph.D.
School Program Manager
Krysia brings her passion for experiential learning to miSci’s education department as the school program manager. Her role includes developing and implementing interactive STEAM curriculum as well as creating connections with local communities through in-person programming and beyond with virtual programming. Dr. Kornecki is a paleontologist and paleolimnologist; her museum experience outside of miSci ranges from her current role as a science advisor on the Eco Resilience Games team, and previous experience refurbishing Kent State’s Geology Department exhibits, curating the paleontology collection at St. Lawrence University and volunteering in the collections at the State Museum. She is committed to increasing diversity, equity and inclusion in STEM fields and creating equal opportunities for experience-based learning in the capital district through miSci’s offerings.
