Add a Program
Enhance your visit with an educator-led program:
Planetarium Show
The Suits-Bueche Planetarium at miSci is an official NASA Space Place and is powered by the GOTO Chronos Star Machine, a state-of-art teaching tool that allows students to see 8,500 stars, 26 deep sky objects, and 24 constellations. All shows are hosted by an educator and include a tour of the seasonal night sky. NEW! miSci recently installed a new high-definition, full-dome, computerized projector in the Suits-Bueche Planetarium. Using a series of mirrors to project on the full 30-foot dome, the new projector provides a much more immersive experience in the new shows we’ve added to our planetarium show offerings. Suggested grade levels are indicated, but all programs can be modified to accommodate different ages – from preschool to adult. 45 minutes (unless otherwise noted), 60 people maximum, including chaperones per program

Hands-on Science Exploration
Explore science with inquiry-based, hands-on learning. Programs are geared to a variety of learning styles and include Q&A discussion, interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities. Suggested grade levels are listed, but all programs can be modified to accommodate different ages – from preschool to adult. 45 Minutes, 25 students maximum per program

Interactive Science Demos
We present theories and concepts in a fun, engaging way, and you help illustrate basic scientific principles on topics including nanotechnology, physics, energy science, electricity, and hidden power. Suggested grade levels are indicated, but all programs can be modified to accommodate different ages – from preschool to adult. 30 Minutes, 30 students maximum per demo
